Town Committees

The Town Board has determined that the public and board itself will be better served through the creation of various committees to provide information and recommendations on the operation of the town. The committees are intended to assist the Town Board in its decision making and not supplant the Town Board’s authority. The committees will be responsible for the town operations as outlined in their description of duties. The Town Board also directs that town committees work closely together to coordinate efforts and provide the best possible public service. The chair of the Town Board will determine which committee is responsible for an issue if there is uncertainty.

The descriptions of the committees are intended to be summaries of the roles and responsibilities of the various town committees and are subject to change by the Town Board.
