Public Hearing on Comprehensive Plan
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Jacksonport will hold a public hearing, conducted by the Town Board, on June 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, 3365 County V, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 to consider a proposed update to the Town of Jacksonport 2014 Comprehensive Plan.
THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING is to gather public input on the Town of Jacksonport Comprehensive Plan.
OPEN HOUSE INFORMATIONAL MEETING: Also please take notice that an Open House Informational Meeting will precede the abovementioned hearing on June 27, 2023 from 5:30pm until 6:00pm at the Jacksonport Town Hall. The Open House is an additional opportunity for town residents and other interested individuals to review and ask question about the Town’s Comprehensive Plan.
SUMMARY: The Proposed Comprehensive Plan would update the Comprehensive Plan as required under Wisc Stats 66.1001. The plan has been updated to reflect current information and contains revised inventory and analysis of the town’s physical setting, demographics, housing, community facilities, transportation facilities, and land uses. With assistance from the Bay-Lake Regional Plan Commission, the Town of Jacksonport developed the proposed comprehensive plan update that describes how the Town of Jacksonport envisions its development and preservation of land in the town during the next 20 years. The proposed plan is designed to be used by Town officials as a policy guide to preserve and improve appropriate areas of the Town over the next 20 years.
The public may review copies of the Comprehensive Development Plan at the Town Hall or by contacting Colleen Huberty, Town Clerk by email [email protected] or phone: 920-823-8136. During the Public Hearing, the public is invited to speak on the proposed plan update. For those unable to attend, written comments may be submitted to the Town Clerk until June 20, 2023 at 3:00 pm, and shall become part of the record
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Plan Commission of the Town of Jacksonport will convene immediately following the Public Hearing for final approval of the plan to present to the Town Board.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Town Board will meet immediately following the Plan Commission meeting for the regular monthly board meeting which will include reviewing and taking action on the Comprehensive Plan presented to it by the Plan Commission of the Town of Jacksonport.
